This third booklet in the series explores the military presence in Dunbar between 1772 and 1955. Of particular focus are the Castlepark Barracks (Lauderdale House) and the regiments stationed there from 1855 to 1955.
It also examines the local impact of overseas conflicts, with records of casualties from the Second Boer War, the First World War, and the Second World War.
